The Advantages
Outstanding Image Quality Clarity 3D produces accurate, distortion-free images of extremely high quality using the Planmeca Promax 3D. Other 3D systems use image intensifier sensors that suffer from geometric distortion and need frequent calibration. The Promax 3D uses amorphous silicon flat panel sensors to produce clear images in the correct anatomic 1:1 ratio, with no need to correct for geometric magnification. This is of particular benefit when placing implants, or performing endodontics or periodontics.
A 3D View Unlike 2-dimensional images, which are broken up into flat pixels, the Promax 3D uses 3-dimensional voxels, giving a more complete view. Each voxel is isotropic, which produces geometric accuracy throughout the image and permits direct 1:1 measurement. The reconstructed image has more than 200 million voxels, allowing you to see down to each trabecula in the bone at a resolution of 100 microns.
Lower Radiation Dose/ Patient Safety Clarity 3D can ensure maximum diagnostic yield without compromising patient safety to give you and your patient peace of mind.
Unlike medical CT scans which expose the patient's entire head to radiation, we choose our field size to minimise unnecessary exposure. Our larger, high resolution scans produce an average radiation dose of just 58 microsiverts (mSv), and smaller scans can reduce that dose by more than half. Medical CT scans expose patients to over fifty times more radiation, delivering an average dose of 2500-3300 mSv.
Local Service, Competitive Price Before Clarity3D came to town, central North Island dentists had to send patients to travel a great distance for a more detailed dental view. Even then they didn't get the same high-resolution image quality that Clarity 3D provides.
It's our philosophy to provide first-rate care at the lowest possible price. We're pleased to offer an efficient local service at a cost of $350 per patient, including the CD of images.
